Leading People into a Growing Relationship with Jesus.

Grand Valley is a church that has always been focused on two things; helping people meet Jesus, and helping people to take the next step in their faith.

We're a church where you can belong and be known. Everyone is welcome.

Where we came from…

Grand Valley Church started in 1989 when a group of families wanted to launch a church that was welcoming to everyone and talked about Jesus and faith in ways that anyone could understand; even if they had never been to a church before.

Where we're headed…

Grand Valley Church is committed to being a community that pursues connection with God, connection with each other (all believers, not just at our church) and to our greater community.

One of the ways that we are working on being that kind of community is by the rhythm that we follow when we gather together.

On the first week of the month, we focus on our connection with God. Our prayers and messages that day focus on building our relationship with God, and we celebrate communion together this week as well.

On the second week of the month, we focus on our connection with each other. We hear a message from a member of our congregation or another church, and may even have a combined service with another church on this Sunday.

On the third week of the month, we focus on our connection with our community. We invite a speaker from an organization in Westman to share with us to help us learn about our community and ways that we can show up financially or in person, and do our best to encourage them in their work.

On the fourth week of the month, we focus on living out our faith together, outside our church building. We encourage our church family to meet together in their small groups, invest in building relationships in their neighbourhoods, or volunteer in the community.

What about months with 5 Sundays? In those months, we do something special. In September 2024, we will be joining in the activities at the Riverbank Discovery Centre for Truth and Reconciliation Week.

What this means for you…

No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you’re welcome at Grand Valley Church. If you’re just exploring the idea of faith, we welcome your questions and want you to find a community where we care for each other and help each other take the next step forward in learning how to live life in connection with God, each other, and our community.
